Hi David, I measured the kh to be less than 1dkh. One drop and the colour turned yellow (w/o even turning to blue and green). What does that mean???

    Hi Joe

It means that you are heading for a PH crash soon....are you able to use KH Up powder?....if you can, you should try to bring this up by 1 point per day.

    At the meantime...stop injecting CO2

do remember not to add the kh powder directly into the water. cos if any of the "lumps" of powder that doesn't dissolved immediately, comes into contact with the ADA soil.....the soil will disintergrate !!!!

"pearls" of expensive soil will become fine powder !!!

David, adding baking soda or KH up stuff to a tank with ADA soil would only bring up the KH for a couple of days before it drops back to less than 1. Maybe until the peat effect wears off does this stuff start to kick in to work properly.

Got a question... If I keep on injecting Co2 to my ADA soil tank setup, how low will the ph go? How the soil will react to the carbonic acidic created(am I rite)by the co2?
