riccia? but troublesome maintenance... but nice carpet effect when grown..
To be a Rock & not to Roll..
nope not the cool water part but then it would be better at 24-26 frm my experience..CO2 not really too but then yes still better with it , ferts of course need almost every plant needs ferts..root tabs? i would prefer Monster Roots it makes downois BIG. Downoi doesnt last long without much base ferts or root tabs

I've grown hairgrass and e. tenellus with good success in plain lapis sand
yes i use pressurized CO2 with an internal CO2 reactor, i fertilize the water column with macros and seachem flourish. lapis is about 5cm thick, i don't think hair grass has very long roots though.
i think hairgrass, they look awesome!
how bout some moss? they looks good too while tie them on fence and putting them flat.
Hi Tristan, so for your Tenellus there is no base fert? Not even root tabs? So purely water column? Did it spread quickly? Thanks!
ya, spread quickly and i ended up ripping it all out because it started getting invasive. changed to hairgrass
For a low maintenance tank like that.. if you can get some cool water around 24-26degrees.. you can try mosses like christmas moss, fissidens and even chendol grass. These plants essentially dont even have to root into your soil to grow.
Do not think there will be a problem so far all the shrimps i kept have not died or shown any problems. In fact they are breeding like wild fire
yes but only a few about 7? the rest all mix grades of sakuras. The CRS got sterelised due to chiller failure tempreature went up to 34 degree celcius..more than 100 of them died doubt there is any hope of them reproducing though
fissiden do well without soil, just tie them on wire mesh to form the lawn
christmas moss do just fine for me...better in cold water condition
The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..
