We might get it first but I will wait until my contract runs out before getting one. When the 3G S came out I tried to get two but was only able to buy one and one older 3G. I gave my son the better phone and still love the 3G. It does not take videos but does take very nice and convenient pictures.
Like everyplace else, we can't afford to buy everything we want.

Everything Apple does seems one of the
best ways to do it. Same for Google. I hope
it becomes easier to keep up with all
Internet chores. I try to do some text and posts
on the IPhone. Easier on a desktop but not nearly as convienient
as a desktop. I am hoping for more ease of use
with better conductivity on the G4.

still don't understand what's so good about iphone after using it. so finally got rid of it, haha... also because even aunties shopping in NTUC also take out their iphone, jialat. somehow i observed friends using iphone are in their own world, meet friends outside also playing with their iphone's games, might as well stay at home then. haha...

no point bringing in the next gen iphone from states right after it's launched. it will be telco locked and until it can be unlocked, it's as good as an ipod

Probably gonna cost about 1.5k without contract for the one with the bigger capacity..
My sisters family got two and they did use the new talk screen picture phone. They liked it a lot.
She wrote me:

I've dabbled with iPhone, but "I still no likey".
It's going to be the same with any decent Smart Phone these days, whether iPhone, WinMo, Android, etc.
I'm not against iPhone. Never used it enough to give any good comparison. My pet peeve with iPhone is that too many people buy it because it's fashionable, and not because they really need it's smart features. For too many, it's just a pretty phone.
I root for Android mainly because the OS is open and allows many manufacturers to come up with their own enhancements and flavours for it as well as hardware features and platforms. Instead of being dictated by a single manufacturer what a smart phone should be.
There are pros and cons either way. I'm in IT, so flexibility is always important to me.
