Well i don't think pellia spread by spores cos mine just grow from the tips little by little

I am asking cause I was reading that in vivariums, you can grow moss by blending them with yoghurt and painting it on the wood. I was thinking if it works on pellia, I can then just paint them on my drift wood and get a lot of pelia after a while![]()

Hi shrimppaste
Interesting find you got there, growing moss by blending them with yogurt..
Can kindly share more details or share the links? Thanks![]()

You can just google moss and yoghurt. Basically you blend them with yoghurt and then you paint them on. And they will grow. If we can do this for Vivarium, I was thinking if we can do it immersed, then we can get the whole driftwood covered in pellia for example before we put them into the tank. Haha. WOuld be cheaper and easier than tying them one by one I thought.

Hi Shrimppaste
Thanks. It will be great if this is workable. I hate tying mosses. haha..
I might try it out with moss if I have some yoghurt left![]()
