Just started this hobby after spending 2 weeks of browsing through this forum. After 1 week of cycling, decided to put in some plants and cherries.
Pardon me for the noob scaping, probably going to get some moss for the drift wood, any kind of hardy moss suitable for mine?
During cycling process:
Seachem Neutral Regulator for keeping ph level to 7
Aqua Medi Bio Bacta - bacteria
Caribsea Ammo buster - to remove ammonia spike,chlorine,chloramine.
1 x neon tetra in cycling
Filter:
1st layer - Pura filtration pad - removal of heavy metals,phosphate, ammonia, etc
2nd layer - Rowa Active carbon
3rd layer - Biohome Plus
Weipro digital thermometer for monitoring temp.
Dymax Windy 4 for keeping temp around 28 degree
Dosing Seachem excel daily
Dosing Seachem flourish once/twice a week.

Btw will the tetras go for the shrimps??? Should i remove them? Any fish that is more suitable to co exist with shrimps?
Oops, i think that is baby tears? HC? got to remove them since they require high lighting and co2 ....
I saw that cute little tank before. It looks simple and low tech. Such small tank (less than 1 foot) should not have fish with shrimps otherwise very crowded. Your tank design so far so nice. Glosso (baby tears) is a difficult plant as I was told too. I would put mini nana (slow grower and evergreen) on that branches...hahaha . Give more space for your shrimps and restrict to less lush plant. You might want to replace that baby tears with baby marima moss ball for future shrimplets?
Remember to place a transparent cover, it didn't have cover and your shrimps might jump if chased around.

Well you can tie some spiky moss to the wood behind so can help increase hide out for the cherries next time.

Choose smaller hard scape (rock, wood and, etc.) so that the aquascape looks bigger. Check out second prize winning tank in this year's ADA Singapore championship. And blue33's tank

Thanks for the advice, have "sculpt" the rock and rescape my mini tank. Will post pictures in awhile.
hmmm, seems like i have slowly drift to the dark side...sure is poisoning..
Re scape my mini tank. Here are some shots, tie the nana and spiky moss to the dw. Planing to leave the rock bare for the timing as it create a different contrast to the tank.
found 1 of the cherries was carrying eggs
Bought 1 morimo algae ball. it quite huge, can i cut the ball and tie it somewhere? or super glue Gel it?

I think there's a confusion here on the ID,
Plant at the background I think should be 'baby tears' or Hemianthus micranthemoides and not Glossostigma. From my understanding, the plant will creep low on the substrate with high lightings.
The foreground plant on the red rock should be Hemianthus callitrichoides or HC for short.
The piece of driftwood is a wonderful addition as it breaks up the front edges of the white rock facing the front of the tank.
I suggest you that you leave the algae ball out, the pregnant cherry will drop her orange eggs (look out for them) on the tied moss.
How's the lighting and dosing fertilizer additives regime gonna be?
Seachem Excel is a option as a replacement for CO2.
I like the twig, it really fits well into that small tank corner.
Did a rescape again. This should be the final look but still looking for some foreground plants to "carpet" the front portion.
Like the challenges for scaping mini tank.
Added a dymax windy w-4 fan to cool the temp to 28 degree continuously.
I think some 'grassy' plants like E.tennellus or hairgrass is better in that position instead of the twig with moss.. Cheers
Ya, you are right the new scape looks funny with that twig.
Anyway, rescape it again hahaha. Got to think of new arrangement for that twig.

Did you remove those fish?
They looked like Harlequin Rasboras, and they will indeed eat young shrimp and shrimplets, I have first hand experience with that.
