    Re: Rotala red

Dosage of Liquid Iron is required to bring out the redness in rotala red. For the case of Seachem trace, you need to read on the label whether is there Iron anot.

you mean where to buy? I bought from Colourful. You might want to call Richard to ask him if he has stock because I bought the last 2 pots

    Re: Rotala red

FYI - High nitrate and phosphate, your plant will not turn very red also.

    Re: Rotala red

Looks like you on the right track. You learned fast! Those pro who go for competition, they starve their plant ~1 month from low nitrate and low phosphate to get the best red they can produce.

The rest of my plants seem to be growing quite fast and pearling. But my japonica some clusters are like melting! is there something wrong?

    tank temp: 27C
    CO2: 3 bps
    Lighting: 2x24W T5HO and 1x55W PL
    other parameters: never test

    Re: Rotala red

Oh I forgot to add, I just added the additional 1x55W PL today because I felt the lighting was insufficient (mine is 2feet tank but height is 1.5 feet). I concentrated the PL lighting on the japonica area. Will it help?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie!

    Re: Rotala red

Japonica is a funny plant, once it get stable it will grow crazily, they require good lighting/CO2/ferts.
