Recommendations for Ferric Iron Products

LushGro-Micro. Comes with the other TEs.

Every 1ml of the old formulation give 0.22ppm of Fe into a 100L tank.

he might have DPTA Fe also

Do you have the Fe constituent of Dr M's EDTA Fe? Is it still 13%?

NA Nature aquarium sells a taiwanese one. Not sure of the brand. He has them in huge 1 or 2 litre bottles too.

Dosage : Half a capful per 100 litres of water, after weekly water changes.

thanks for the prompt response. So far from what I see most of the products quoted are EDTA or Fe3+ typo. I was looking for FE2+ or DPTA typo.

I thought "ferrous" means Fe2+ and "ferric" means Fe3+ ?

mr tom barr says plants can take in iron regardless of Fe3/Fe2 ie: plants can convert it anyway, probably just uses more light..

(that's why you can use elemental iron /iron filings instead of a salt)

Bro, you're correct but it's better if its in Fe2 form. I dun know how long the plants will take to do the conversion but if can save one step, why not rite?

Also have tried alot of brands with Fe3 in it and always give me problem. But when I use FE2 form no problems leh..

I guess in the end its a matter of belief/ superstition and probably preference.
