Hi beos, I've a tri colour HM fighting fish, I've noticed a little fraying of the tail fin(suspect fin rot), I did a full water change just now, may I ask if there are any recommendations for any medicine around or advice on what I should do?
Been feeding the betta with the small pellets the fish shop recommended, and some brine shrimp(is it better to rinse the brine shrimps before feeding? I've noticed a 'transparent cloud' of liquid whenever I drop them into the water, salinity I guess, but I don't know if it'll be harmful inthe long run..)
And I was wondering if ketapang extract is better or do I place the leaves themselves directly in the water. Because I have leaves at home, supposed to be for my shrimps though.
THANKS in advance for any helpful advice!

Its in a 20X15X15 cm tank with bubbling air tube and no substrate(or is it better to have substrate?). I've a mini HOF but I'm afraid the flow rate will be too high, thus the tube instead

P.S I'm relatively new to bettas, I'm only have CRS and cherry shrimps in my 2ft tank. Sorry for newbie questions posed.

for the fin rot, you can try melafix and aquariu salt.
as for the brine shrimp, yes it is advisable to rinse them before feeding.
and for the ketapang leaves, you can put it directly into the tank.
