    it is Black Brush Algae(BBA).. i encountered it in my tank before too.. better manually remove it if not it will spread to the rest of your tank quickly.. do a blackout as well.. and cut off any leaves seen with it..

    My apologies for the not very clear picture. I'm pretty sure it's not BBA as this multiplies in round clumps. Unlike BBA, it doesn't have strands that stand out like a brush in the same direction if allowed to grow unopposed. It's like hair algae but in a small compact clump. I will try to get a better picture when the opportunity arises. Thanks for the inputs so far
