welcome to the forum! regarding your DIY co2 you could have the tube run into an empty bottle before it hits the tank. this way you can prevent the accidental mixture of the solutions with tank water![]()

Advice from boss Felix
Diazman,
By saying second tank,
u meant like this?
but why is it bubbling so much anyway?
Is it because i have to wait for it to stabilize
for the first 6 hour or so...
then only can i use it?
hahs, you posted the pic before i could. yup that is what i meant by having the second bottle. DIY co2 is like that, the amount of gas cannot be controlled, hence it is only suitable if you have a setup smaller than 2ft.
you have to get the correct mixture else it will run out too fast.

i followed the recipe from this site and it can last me for 2 weeks max.![]()

Thank you for the fast reply!
what worries my by your reply though
was the fact that this DIY yeast mixture
is not stable,
i guess i need to get that second bottle
of soft drink and start drinkin fast. heheh
will try to use your formula and will
use the second bottle as a precaution.
any other do's and dont's?
hey no worries.you can ask around for help as the bros and sis here will be glad to help you.
well there not much to it but keep the yeast mixture 1/2 filled only. just incase theres a build up of co2 in the bottle. other alternative to control the co2 is using a control valve, those meant for the airpumps - i used this to control the amount of co2 into my tank![]()
