    Am thinking of starting a pleco tank, and getting other variations like L333, L134.
    I currently have about 40+ 3mth old ABN fry.
    Was just wondering if I can add on L333 and L134, all in the same tank. Will probably move to bigger tank, what's the best tank size to use?
    I have a 2x1.8x1.8" tank, big enough to keep how many pleco or is it better to use a 3ft tank?

    Also planning to get an Eheim classic canister filter, is 2213 or 2211 good enough for a 2ft tank?

    hi, when you plan for a pleco community tank, you can vary their diet by feeding both algae and carnivore pellets.

    it would be better if you can provide a 3 ft tank (around 15) but 2 by 1.5 by 1.5 tank is considered big enough to keep around 10 plecos that you mentioned, the more plecos the more frequent the water change.

    Thanks again Johannes. Only 15 in a 3ft tank, looks like I may have to reconsider adding variations. Just my ABN alone is more than a 3ft tank can take in.

    In my opinion, species tank looks better for pleco because we are from AQ. we try to make nicer tank in every possible way Imagine - polka dots / stripe / red tail / white eyes all in a tank. Oh. big mess.

    I always like Wasabi tank;

    Wow! what a tank! Don't think I can set up something like that or even maintain it. All my tanks are plain and bare bottom tanks for discus keeping, easier to maintain, but pretty envious of people who can keep such tank, BEAUTY!

    I understand what you mean about having just one single species in the tank. If I ever decide to keep other species of pleco community tank (though quite tempting), I will probably have to start a new tank and give up some discus.
