Good. They are colouring up and are eating a lot.
Fed them with 2 cubes of frozen blood worms and "Aquathrive" dry pellets.
Will post pictures of them tonight. They are showing reddness of the top fin and upper back.![]()
Hi, I would love to see some bigger, sharper pics, too. (if possible, this one as well)

I lost one of them last week after a water change. But the remaining 9 is doing well. Diet consist of baby fries of platies, shrimplets, earthworm from the garden, Brine shrimp, Daphina, frozen blood worm and dry pellets.
May I know where is Hong Yang??
May I kwow where is hong Yang??
I have a few pieces comm-ed together with my friend's Manacapuru Angels. The red is developing, albeit not as red as I'd like them to be. Perhaps they are still young. I hope this doesn't count hijacking. I'm just sharing the passion.

Hi Jitticus, you are most welcome to share your knowledge here with one and all. I will be shifting my 9 pieces to a recon, used, old 422 by next week.
Terrencee, Hong Yang is located at BLK 306 CCK ave 4. there is only 1 LFS around lot 1/cck MRT.
Hoe this helps.
Yeah Bro Altum, my friend feeds them with the Hikari oranda pellets and for some reason the fish are very stocky, with beautiful fin extensions. The 4-2-2 will definitely work wonders on their deportment.
Hmm just a little correction, I believe the Manacapuru angels are from the Manacapuru region and not the Rio Negro. Nonetheless, they're beautiful fish and almost as stunning to me as altums when they're grown and have their full red colour.
To enhance the reds, you may want to consider feeding them a food rich in caretonoids like Tetrabits or cyclopeeze, or if you're adventurous enough, make a beefheart/seafood frozen mix to feed them with like discus keepers do and add in a dose of astaxathin (aka Naturose) to really bring out the reds.
Updates on my manas here. Out of the 10, i lost 2 of the smaller ones.
I attempted to take some shots of them and here is one of them. Please pardon the poor shots.

Diet: Monday - Brine Shrimp
Tuesday - Tubieifex
Wednesday - earth worm
Thursday - feeder shrimp
Friday - aquafix pellets from C328
Saturday - sea prawn from market
Sunday - Rest and tank maintenance.
Current size: Tip to tip about 6.5 inch.
Head to tail about 3 inch.
Tank size: 422 with subdued lighting. Tank is stock with drift woods and some rocks.
After changing water, I dechlorinate the water with Genesis dechlorinator then add Denerle S27.
Thank you all![]()
Hi Altum lover,
any reason why there are no plants in the latest update, though you used to have them? Is it a must to keep them in low light ? Jitticus's tank look quite dark also..
Thanks![]()
Nice growth there,
Looks like your angels are very well taken care of with the routine diet and vitamin supplements.
