I read somewhere that spixi snails had been used successfully to remove planaria, however it seems there is not enough info supporting this online. Commonly known as the zebra apple snail or asolene spixi.

Does anyone here have any experience with spixi snails?

I bought a piece of DW+moss yesterday and saw 1 whitish/colourless worm which I presume is planaria crawling in and out of the substrate. Thus Im hoping to kill them off early.

Do they harm shrimplets or eat plants as well?

i dont think hey will do much hard.. just that they are a pest to see in a tank... just try to control your feeding & manually catch them out everytime you see them.. and you will see the numbers drop if you have alot of them
