Reinhabitating 112 l tank

Hi

I've been thinking about maybe giving away lemons and serpaetetras some day.

I would like some suggestions about smaller tetras, or rasboras etc. which are small, under 3-3,5 cm in size. I would like to have a colourful group of them.

Tank would still occupy 5 corys and 1 Ancistrus sp.

Water temp. is between 26-28 even without a heater in summer
pH is about 6,5
Hardness is between 7-8
I don't remember the gH now but it was fine

I don't have accurate numbers since I don't have those droptests. I'm about to get them in few months.

What species should I consider? How many? Is it possible to take two different groups of fish of those smaller species in this tank?

Every suggestion is welcome.

I'd go with fish that have different swimming habits if I wanted 2 groups of them. For example, tetras and pencilfish.

Tetras are good schooling fish and will occupy the middle strata. Rasboras share the middle - top strata with tetras. I had some harlequin rasboras and they are quite good schooling fish as well, but cannot beat the Rummy Nose.
Corys are good to fill the bottom part. You may want to consider getting some cleaniong crews: Ottos / SEA.. And probably some peacful and bigger one, like Dwarf Gouramis, but that would depend on the size of your tank.

Silvery fish are not in my favor for now, altough rummynose and harlequins could be better choise (easier to take care of?) than these under 3 cm fish.

I was thinking about ember tetras, galaxy rasboras.. Something which is in the same size them. My tank is about 26 ga, so how many of them would go there? Pencilfish would be nice, but it depends if there is enough space for decent group of them.

But if I keep lemons and serpaes instead of getting rid of them, how many of them could I place in that tank? I have had no answers from finnish forum, so I wish that someone could help me out here.

Ah, I tried using that AqAdvisor "program" to determine how many lemons and serpae would be fine in my tank. Just few minutes ago I "got it" how to use this program.

Well, if I trust the results, it would be fine to take total 10 serpaes and 12 lemons. Almost double than before. Both fish swim in middle and near surface. This would be a relief, since I like those tetras, but I have been worried about their small groups, I wasn't aware could I take more in this size of tank.

This is what AqAdviser "said" in the end after I gave info of my tank and to be-groups of fish (1 ancistrus sp, 5 corys, 10 serpae, 12 lemons):

Recommended temperature range: 23 - 26 C. [Display in Farenheit]
Recommended pH range: 5.5 - 7.5.
Recommended hardness range: 1 - 15 dH.

By the "program's" advice, I added serpaes and lemons in tank. Now there are 10 serpaes and 9 lemons (3 more are about coming after few weeks).

The fish seem to be happy and got more courage especially during feeding times. Life in the tank is much lively than before.
