Looks like something from the regani group.
Hi Guys,
I'd like to enlist your help in identifying this Apisto.
It was bought as a Female apisto bitaeniata shishita.
Thanks!

...people ask why I eat fish even though i'm such an avid fish keeper... Bottom line is that I've been eating fish a lot longer than I've been keeping them...

No, i said it probably is something from the regani group. Very few people keep A. regani because they aren't quite beautiful. I doubt they are even available here.
It's quite unlikely to be Bit looking at the distinct black dot on the tail as well as with only 1 black line on the body. Maybe you can post a pic with them flaring.
*****Apisto cacatouides, agassizii, bitaeniata, eremnopyge, Sp Wilheim, Panduro, Trifasciata, elizabethae, irinidae*****
ok...thanks for the help. Even if its from the Regani group....or not beutiful for that matter...still quite nice fish. Has plenty of character.
