    Hello everyone,
Just want to get feedback if Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC) can be tied to rock or driftwood and how. Can it be tied directly or do you have to put substrate for it to grow? Thanks!

No one to help? I guess I will speculate. You will need a media for the HC to root on to the rock or driftwood. This is unlike Downoi that grow on rock along river bank in the wild.

Thank you for your replies. Was just curious how others can grow it on rock, like on mountainscapes. Am currently trying to grow it on a driftwood on top of moss, emersed. It seems to be rooting.

Hey there, I realize this thread is a wee bit old, but I'm about to attempt the same thing. How did it work out for you?

HC can't be grown on rocks/driftwood as they need to be rooted in soil. For driftwood and rocks, the very popular one will be riccia or different mosses.

I've read on a few other threads that other people have tried growing HC on top of moss that has been attached to driftwood. I just need a way to use up this darn HC.

I've had it planted on substrate then crawled on a rock. Also had it growing on moss, as bits of it got caught in the moss during trimming
