Hard to tell how much light is getting naturally. If it is outdoors, it may be getting more light then our eyes can tell (because our eyes adjusts to brightness of the surroundings).
I would like to ask, have you address other factors like fertilisers? What are you using to fertilise the water lilies? I use root tablets from the nursery. Just go any plant nursery that does ponds and ask them for fertiliser tablets for water lilies and lotus. I got mine from Far East Flora in Thomson. They come in tablets, each one about the size of a stack of five 50 cent coins. Packaging in Thai.
I use it for both my pond and planted tank. The one in the pond is putting out one big leaf every few days. The ones in the planted tank are putting out lots of smaller submerged leaves.

well i will get the fertilizer. like 2 per month????
also how much light is enough light?
should i put a picture of my balcony?
A picture of the balcony will be good.
The fertiliser instructions are on the pack. If I remember correctly, you just need one per pot every few months.

Sorry if I hijack the thread, but my question would be similar.
Will JBL fert ball work better or the one from far east flora works better for lily?
Hard to say without testing.
But based on purpose, assuming that the JBL one is a general concoction for general use, and the one I mentioned above is specifically made for water lilies and lotus plants, I will say the latter would be better, especially in a pond & floating leaf set up.
Again... it's speculation on my part.![]()

Thanks vinz!
I saw it at Far East Flora but did not buy it due the the "dodgy" packaging and considering I have guppies in my pond![]()
Will try it the next time I visit them.
