*****Apisto cacatouides, agassizii, bitaeniata, eremnopyge, Sp Wilheim, Panduro, Trifasciata, elizabethae, irinidae*****
I've got bits and inkas. Looking for something other than those 2.
Maybe you can try paucisquamis. Thought I saw someone selling the fries in batches. But as far as I gathered, it seems very difficult to breed.![]()

Anyone knows which shop has apisto hongsloi?
Apisto31,
maybe you can try Biotope. Understand from thio they came in last week.

sweet. will probably head down to biotope in the afternoon.
Only Male Hongsloi letf at Biotope, the female died.
They've got Caca, Aga.. next shipment, not sure when.
There are 2 forms of hongsloi - the wild form, which is the classic hongsloi with red around the base of the anal and the caudal, female has no color (or very little). Then there's the form 2 - which looks like an entirely different species, because the dorsal and and anal extensions are really long and the intensity of the red is much more evident. There's also a yellowish hue on the body, which can be quite intense (on males).
I've seen the Czech and German super red hongslois that would blow your mind!
Might want to determine what form of hongsloi you're looking for.![]()
I'm no expert in Apistogramma but actually, there are a few species of apistos that will get you hooked even further in the hobby -
Apistogramma borelli "opal" - sheer ease and beauty. If you're lucky enough, you might get a male with intensely masked face.
Apistogramma sp. Steel blue - easier than easy. Looks good as well. Females are hard to come by, but if you look hard enough, there are usually a few hidden in a tankful of them.
Apistogramma agassizii - not all localities are equally beautiful, the most available and beautiful wild forms are , IMO, Netz, Rio Madeira, Rio Tefe and Santarem.
yup i am the the one who is selling pacisquamis in batches haha
anyway Josh can consider getting BItanieata(they are my all time favourites!)
My advice:
Pick something mid-range in terms of cost and difficulty in rearing. Should you purchase a sensitive species that will not take readily to dried food, you might have a disaster on your hands. Make sure you have space at home to house them AND the subsequent fry if any. Many times we buy more than one pair, in the hope that they will breed, but space is always a premium.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Haha thanks for all the suggestions guys. I already have bits and I just bought myself a a pair of cacas. Please go take a look at this link: http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...-s-New-Apistos
