    Hi,

I am to embark on marine 1ft or 1.5 ft. Prefernce to 1ft. To keep small fish like clown only.

I already have a planted and would like to know what i really need in terms of say filters - cannister or OH. Lighting requirements. Do I need aerators? Do I need Co2? Do I need fertilisers? Chillers etc?

I would be more inclined to go without chillers due to cost considerations.

Pardon my ignorance as it is my first baby step into marine.

perhaps u can try reading up on the aquatic FAQ on marine setup.. u will be able to get some idea on marine keeping.. marine dun have fertilisers.[] similarly, for marine, the bigger the tank, the better.. minimum i recommend would be 2ft with only 2 small clownfishes

thanks kelstorm, will one clown and one blue tang be overloading in a 1.5ft tank?

i've read up the faqs ... some live rocks and a good filter for 3-4 weeks of cycling ... a good filter like a canister filter is required ... and dun forget the protein skimmer [:]

i dun recommend a blue tang for 1-1.5 ft.. it will produce too much waste... stick to 2 clowns.
