how long have you been using the piping? i guess there is algae buildup in the pipes. canister have to be wash periodically like once every 3-6 months.
Hi, i am currently using 1 eheim pro3 2080 for a 4x2x2.
This is how it is connection,
tank -> 2080 -> uv -> chiller -> tank.
I found that the flow rate of the filter drastically reduced by more than half. I am now considering to either get a 2nd filter and split the connection or to get a external pump to drive the chiller.
tank -> 2080 -> uv -> reactor -> tank
tank -> 2080/2078 -> chiller -> tank
or
tank -> 2080 -> uv -> reactor -> tank
tank -> pump -> tank
Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank!

Piping new and only used for a mth. Filter is working very well with full force when not connected to anything. tank -> 2080 -> tank.
I realised that flow rate reduced only when connected to chiller and other equipment.
better suggestion would be to use a power head in the tank. Uses less power, adds more flow.
Filtration is not usually the problem as much as flow. People keep pushing "over filtration" but in relaity what they need is better flow. Tanks can be run with small filters if you have better flow in the tank. Hydor power heads are small, used 8W of electricity and can add to the flow and improve dead spots, can be moved around as needed, save you electricity and reduce all the extra pipes in the tank. Makes more sense to me.
