    Just happened to see some fries on the sandbed while feeding my apistogramma breitbinden..quite happy to see that but now quite worried as whether to take the male out or not..the female damn fierce even being much smaller in size.. Can any bros advise me?thanks a lot

    I think it's better to take the male out although I'm no expert.

    I just found eggs in my tank as well and the female is very defensive of her nest.

    Well, I don't see a reason why the male should be there. I'm even more afraid that my female will kill the male. So, I removed him.

    I guess it's up to you, depending on your tank mates. If there's not much activity in the tank and no true predators, then i guess you do not need the male around.

    Think to hatch some baby brine shrimp for your fry, you wouldn't want them go hungry.
    How big is your tank? I might remove the male if I see him being chase too much in the tank to play safe.
