Apistogramma breed that is more tolerant to other tank inhibitants

Hi,

I am thinking of keeping a pair of apistogramma in a 2-feet tank. Any specific breed(s) to recommend which is tolerant towards pencilfish, green neon tetras and boraras?

The Neon Tetra will be a threat to the offspring of your apistogramma.
However, most apistogramma quite tolerant to other tank inhibitants.
Now it depends whether you want to keep which body from of apistogramma.

Thanks bro. Looks like I need to let go of the tetras. Would you happen to know whether in general the apistogramma sold in HK is gonna be cheaper than those found in local LFS as I am going to HK for holiday. Dun think I can afford those wild caught, most likely have to be farm bred or F1. Thanks.

HK price maybe higher compare to SG. That is because as you said, They are either farm bred or F1.
Farm bred in HK may mean line breeding so fetch higher pricing. F1 automatic high price because direct offspring of Wild Caught parents.
But at time you may get F2 instead.
