Tilt the canister to release any trapped air.
I am using the above.. and have use the lever to prime the filter.. however I just can't get rid of the air stuck in it and keep getting spurts of huge bubbles from the rain bar...
I suspect could be in the inlet pipe and tubing.. cos the tubing seems to have lots of particles stuck and the I see lots of bubbles getting suck in(water dun look like its flowing in smoothly)
do I need to clean/ service the pipes??

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.

bro are you using a surface skimmer? i have encountered a similar problem to yours, also on an ecco pro canister. but for me, the root of the problem was air being drawn in from the top of my skimmer. i had to fine tune the skimmer intake to ensure that the surface intake was not too strong.
if not using a surface skimmer then i guess you have to diagnose where the air bubbles come from. follow your input tubing from the canister inlet, all the way to the intake of your tubing (strainer or skimmer). maybe the fit between the tubing and your U-bar is not very tight.
Yecch!
tried tilting left right no help... no bro. not using skimmer..
I think the problem is the tube from the inlet to the filter... i see lots of air bubbles stuck there ..not sure if its caused by the dirt on it...
hi bro, sorry to ask, where you buy your eheim ecco pro and how much is it? bcuz im finding one also.. thanks
Do this, unplug Ecco and plug it again after a few hours. Top up water level to make sure surface skimmer intake is sufficient.
