    Hey guys, I've got these red 'algae' looking patches on the glass wall and running down from my skimmer and some appearing on my live rocks. what on earth is that???!!! And also, my mushrooms and polyps dont seem to open. Any clues??? is it an alkalinity problem???

    doubt it is a alkalinity problem.. those red algae, can they be wipe off easily? if so, chances are, they are cyano... reasons why mushroom and polyps dun seem to open could be due to many reasons, like fishes nipping at them, water quality, etc.. check your water quality.
