    Hi ,

    why are all my shrimps hanging on the surface of the water clinging on to something , when my tank light is off ? my water temp is 27 deg , nano tank .
    with HC on the fore ground .

    any bros experience this ?

    Do you have plants? Could be lack of Oxygen in your tank. When lights are off, plants will stop producing O2 and compete with the shrimps for oxygen. Also higher temperatures results in lower dissolved gases in the water. Try to keep the water cool and aerate it during the night.

    okie , usually my tank temp at night is 25 deg . is it sufficient ?
    i have lots of HC on the ground

    Get an air pump/stone and aerate yr tank and see whether it makes a difference.

    i tried , slightly better , they swim back to the bottom already.
    was wondering is it because that day i painted my whole room so the fan blew the paint smell to the surface and causes the water to be contaminated , LOL
