It is back. Brand new season at least to Singapore Discovery channel subscriber. Tonight on Discovery Channel 422, 10pm. Every Tuesday

Jeremy Wade said "River monsters does give a slightly incorrect view of the world because in each programme I go somewhere to catch big fish. Most rivers in the world, if you go try to find big fishes, you won't find them....because while the oceans are not in a very healthy state, the rivers are even more vulnerable, partly due to overfishing and pollution"

He also said "it's very hard to know what the solution is here because in places like the Congo and the Amazon, they're an important food source for the people. Even in the Amazon, where it's a huge water system, fishing has had a huge impact"

Worst examples, he says, is the Chinese practice of eating shark's fin: "It is wasteful and unsustainable, and the process of collection the fins is just barbaric"
