This is a purely anthelmintic drug that only kills worms...other invertebrates are not affect at normal dosage. It interferes with the worm's ability to uptake glucose and effectively starves the worm to death.
Tetras and most fishes do not eat planaria as far as I know bro...maybe betta, certain cichlids and barbs would, but only when hungry?
Planaria normally thrives when the tank is overfed and alot of food falls to the bottom and is left there. You can try to cut down on feeding to control the worms too

Found a video which shows you why you should not cut the planaria to 'kill' it. Helpful for anyone with these creatures in their tanks.

Bro u can try Vermex.I tried Vermex on my planaria infected shrimp tank,my shrimps stop eating for two Days ,not active. but after two days not a single sign of planaria, kill all the irritating seed shrimps too.no planaria no casualties
