    I buy those $3 ones from www.dama.com.sg.
    But comparing these with the $15 per piece German made ones from Nature Aquarium, do they actually make a difference ?

    Yes, you get what you pay for. But T5 light tube have to be changed yearly due to heat degrading the par level. You can see it when your tank has more algae than usual and the plants is not as healthy and vibrant as before. GE Daylight tube is another good light tube. Currently I am using 8x54w ATI T5 for my marine tank and replace all of them every year without fail.

    May i know where you bought your ge lamp? How much?

    are you using T5 Osram 24W for 2 ft tank? or 55W for 3 ft ?

    it is hard to source for 24W T5 Osram skywhite for 2 ft
