My PO4 level is about 2.0 mg/l. NO3 is 0 mg/l. Change 30% to 40% of water every week. Is it possible I dose KH increase, black water, anti-clorine, etc. contain phosphat?
2ppm of PO4 is not that high. Most of them from fish food and probably the wastes.
Dose NO3. The PO4 should drop. I think the NO3 is limiting.
Likely you are having or going to have BBA problem if you keep NO3 at 0ppm.

BGA might set in at low nitrate level. Dose KNO3 to maintain nitrate level at 5-10ppm. Also, make sure that other macronutrients are enough. You'll see the PO4 level coming down soon.
Maybe you are right. I only dose little liquid fert because I use to dose sufficent liquid fert. base on instruction. Later I got hair alage outbreak. I'm a newbie. Setup on 6 June 2003. I dose liquid fert. after I setup my new plant tank that why I got algae. Please advise me how much liquid fert. should I dose or should I follow the instruction from the liquid fert. I bought. Dose every fortnight is it too long. Where I can buy the KNO3. Is it from Liquid Fert? Thank
Read up on PMDD before attempting to add KNO3 or, in my case, Ca(NO3)2.4H20. Confirm with a test kit if you suspect that your tank is N limited. For all you know, it may be K or something else that is out of whack - most common culprit would be CO2.
