Need some confirming, the lady from the Ah Pei farm advise don't insert the whole root into base.
The other time when I try this,I insert the whole root into the base and the leaf just melt away.I thought the temperture was main reason.
Now really lost.

Juz to share with you some of my observation, when I planted my Vallisneria Thaium, which is a "bulb" type plant, the people from Teo's advise me to plant the bulb 1/2 way submerged into the gravel. I did so and as the plant acclimatizes after time, the bulb sort of rotted away until the growing tip(tip where new leaves emerges) become level with the gravel.
So what I'm tryin to say is: in my case, the plant bulb "reposition it's bulb automatically into the substrate" when it get used to it's environment.
