    Hi,
I plan to make part of my garden a Yunnan biotope.
Approximately 400 mē. The centerpiece will be a pond.
Problem, I live in the south of France. The climate is a bit special and the temperature can drop to -8 -10 ° C once or twice during the winter, by night.
I'm looking for help to get information and see if it's possible. At the vegetation outside the pond, I have a big list (Hedychium, Pleione, bamboo, Trachycarpus...) of evergreen's plants that support this type of frost.
By cons ... for fish or pond's plants ??
I have Macropodus ocellatus in another pond, but I do not know if they are found in Yunnan.
Channa gachua is a good candidate but it's a predator ( Mengyejiang River, Red River basin, Puer County). I can not find what are the roommates of Channa gachua in these areas.
What do you think? Do you have photos of those areas that could inspire me?

    Thank you all
