However, need some advice on the foreground plants.....

Tried java moss, hair grass, jap hair grass, and now trying to grow some barcopa, a stem plant.....but seems like the foreground always grow very slowly and very soon outgrown by algae....

The barcopa plant which i bought on a mesh......

Anyone can give me a good recommendation of a good foreground plant to use?

    Thanks in advance !

Pebbles is difficult to grow plant IMO. Especially if below there's no base fert to support the grow. It will take you longer time to grow, hence algae comes in. You can try adding root tab but i guess you need alot to do the job and will cost you alot more than getting planting soil. Those pebbles will injure the plant root also.
