It'll be great if you can explain what's wabi kusa with respect to your tank. At least to me...

    Re: dkk08's Wabi Kusa setups

Well, this is what I got from another forum explaining Wabi Kusa, its basically another form of aquascaping...

    Wabi Kusa
Another style with roots from Japanese Aquascapers, the Wabi-Kusa style focuses on creating a submersed/emersed garden. Imagine taking a bonsai garden and submerging half of it underwater. The plants in this style are grown and centered on a ball of soil, and then placed in a container. Many Wabi-Kusa aquascapers create an island ball of plants surrounded by open water.

Sometime ago i had planned for a Wabi-Kusa scape, i even custom made a Wabi-Kusa tank. Had the Wabi-Kusa ball built also, due to lack of time i didnt continue further.

Below is the picture of the Wabi-Kusa i setup initially.

Couldn't figure out how to make a mud or clay ball, end up "cheated" by using a lava stone with multiple holes for planting....

    Re: dkk08's Wabi Kusa setups

that's not cheating, its just another method of creating the "ball", some use a net to hold the peat mixture and then put the plants onto the nettings... so there're many ways to create the "ball"

    Bro,

Love to see more of your project. Please update whenever possible.

Can you also share with us the different kind of plants that can be used for such projects? Red leaves?

Thats a palm tree... Even a dwarf one grows to a massive size, otherwise it looks lovely.
