Hi all.. after i failed my 30cm tank, i decided to get a 45cm tank and start all over again..

currently got 3 types of tetras and 1 oto doing the cycle,
    heres how my tank look..

    Re: my second tank..

    Good job
I really liked how the right red plant looked so far away...adds distance and depth to the tank

Have you considered fishless cycling? Ottos are not known to survive very well in uncycled tanks...however, I see you have my favorite plant, hornwort, in there. Let it grow long and big and it'll help alot during cycling to control the ammonia

How do you plan to manage the slope bro? Overtime, slopes tend to even out...

    Re: my second tank..

    Thanks bro Navanod..

Erm well, i removed the red plant because it was rotting already (bought that couple of months before).. I went to c328 and bought some more plants today with my cousin.. I will update a newer version when i get a better camera.. For the slope, i didn't know it will even out but for the time being, i will just leave it there. As for the ottos and other fishes, there's no other tank i could put it in so i seriously just can pray that it'll survive for the next 2-3 weeks..

Normally it takes 2-3 weeks for the tank to cycle finish then can put in shrimp right? Do i need to wait longer before i introduce red cherry shrimp in?

    Thanks in advanced

    Re: my second tank..

It takes far longer than that to cycle properly bro. I would not go into details but it take 6-8 weeks at the very least before ammonia is zero and another few weeks for nitrite to fall to zero. Only then is it really safe for shrimps.

    Re: my second tank..

Heres a little update of my tank..

I've added some new plants (ID unknown)..

    Front View
At first the moss was brownish.. after a few days the tip of the moss leaf starts to turn bright green. it's a good sign right?

    Side View

The only plant that is "pearling"? Got bubble underneath the leafs but i not so sure is oxygen trap under it anot...

    Re: my second tank..

You should check the marketplace rather than asking here. But there is someone selling frogbits as a FOC for buying his flame moss. you can try asking him if he still has any left. His name is Patrick and his number is 97688890. But I don't know if he still has any stock left.

    Re: my second tank..

Hah hah no need to be sorry. Just thought you would have a better chance of success posting in the marketplace rather than here. Patrick met me at AMK MRT. Thats not too far off isn't it? Maybe 15-20 mins?
