what kinda of system are u using? baby seahorses are a lot of work and require dedication and specially hatched food for them. Even the ppl that i know, they have poor success rates with them. My advice is to stop buying the pregnant ones. U should try to locate those that feeds instead. I have tried too but failed to raise the frys despite housing them in a frys tank.

u should not keep reef system but rather lagoon setup. eg., lots of macroalgae which provides lots of copepods.

wad happen to those fries that go into the gravel?
will they get break down by the bacteria?
    will they die easily?
shud i go and dig them out and make them hook on a stainless steel mesh?
