I would like to know more about how to identify the type of Algae. Right now i am facing problem which i am not sure if its algae related. I have tiny brown dots on the leaves and Spiky moss turning brownish. Are these algaes?. Read in some of the post that the problem can be contained by Excel Flourish if it is BBA. Is my tank infected by BBA?.

Take some pictures of the algae and the problem, and there will be algea "expert" here to id and solve the issue for you. I think most of us got issue with algae at some times of the tank.

Yes pictures is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately my camera quality is worth less than words. I am beginning to realise that a good camera is a neccessity in this hobby. Any suggestion for a low budget camera that is appropriate for taking aquatic pictures.

Unlike fishes that keep moving around, the plants stay still.
I think a basic camera with tripod should do the trick for just taking aquatic plants.
