pardon me for my amateur question but i would really like to have some clarification on red tiger lotus as i've seen variations of it from various fish shop. some have thin wavy liked stems, oval-shaped leaves and light red in colour while some have edgy leaves with sturdy stem and dark red. so are there different types of red tiger lotus ?
I believe that in most cases its a matter of growing conditions. I bought a tiger lotus with flimsy stems and small oval leaves from the lfs and now its grown into a monster with thick stems and edgy leaves as big as my hand!
Not too sure about the colour though, because when I bought the lotus its leaves were already dark red

KeIgO86 - because i've seen tiger lotus growing under heavy lighting while mine just literally melt away. that is why wanna check on the different species and their requirement. quite a pity.( mine is a 72w over a 2ftx1ftx1.5ft tank
