Hi,
this strip appears only on females (possibly on males too, but very very very rarely) and not on alpha males. It is normally found on the larger and more mature females. It also appears on all variants of neocaridina heteropoda, including cherry, sakura, fire red, green and yellow. However, in green shrimps, the stripe will be light green, and in yellow, the stripe will be golden. dont worry, this is normal, there is nothign wrong with the shrimp.
Hi, just to show the diff colours of the stripes of neocaridina heteropoda
