That looks like algae...

Any idea how to get rid of them?

Trim- looks like some pinholes on the older leaves. K deficiency comes to mind.

Increase CO2, and add assorted fertilizers that provide NPK.

Funnily the Crypt looks healthy-new leaves of the glosso look healthy[enough]. As usual we have to remind you to list down your tank parameters to the N'th detail for a proper assessment. [educated guess]

I did not do a test for my water parameters
Right now I can only provide this information:
8 hrs of photo peroid (2x14W T5)
Tank size: 6 gallons (US)
GEX soil plus ADA Power Sand as base fertilizer.
CO2 at 1.5 bubbles per second
Temperature 27-30 deg C
My tank is quite heavily planted. However, only the glosso are affected. The rest are healthy
It is recommended that glossostigma not be sheltered or covered by other objects such as frogbits, and etc. Trim first. Try water change 25% daily

I agree with that. The glosso 'self' is 'cannibalising' it's old leaves for nutrients since it's not supplied in adequate amount. Looks like NPK + some epsom salt would help. Noticed the yellow fringing on the glosso leaf-magnesium deficiency.

It is a 6 Gal tankTherefore, I recommend daily water change. Water change is great for plant and not great for algae.
On paper: glossostigma is a 'difficult' plant while Cryptocoryne is the 'very easy' as such always recommended for beginner. Cryptocoryne might not wither.. but they wont prosper either. I should say Cryptocoryne is more forgiving.

The catch is Cryptocoryne doesn't like large WC. hahaha. The leaves will melt off if water parameters change drastically.

that is just CO2 issue, top layer glosso is not suffering, only the bottom layer suffer, glosso roots also growing out of the soil, circulation might be one of the issue also. Plant just need little ferts because plant is make up of around 70% carbon. Work on that and you will be alright.
Here is my glosso in my tank. Using T5 at >2ft depth.

Just make sure small water change![]()

Haha- cute.
As long as the CO2 is stable the plants will adapt.
1.5 bubbles is good for 60L tank so I don't think it's the issue -not for a 6G[24L] tank at what can be considered medium lighting [28W]
Glosso is a weed-if you want it to flatten somewhat like Adrian's, increase the lighting intensity[doubt you have more space on top] or photoperiod[from 8 to 10-12]
After not growing for 6 years in my own tanks, I tried it again 2months ago.
Here's some glosso-also 2ft depth. 5ft 440W. 12hours. Removed them shortly after- leaves getting too big.
I need to learn the trick to make it mini.![]()

Must look for this glosso diendrum then. LOL.
An LFS used Africana and the glosso grew very tiny. I was like...hmmm but too late-I already ripped everything out.
Yah- anyway on the subject of CO2 deficiency-CO2 tank run out. IME the 1st tell tale sign is GSA, next Hair Algae.
This happens so fast [in three days] for my medium-high lit tanks it's not funny especially when everything was growing nicely before leaving for two weeks overseas. GRRR.
Anyway-bokeholic, what you're doing now seems to be on the right path. The new growth looks ok. The crypt leaves are nice, flat and shiny-no curling. Just trim the glosso old leaves and all and replant if more. It will bounce back. If you want it thick and flat increase the lighting whether it's intensity or photoperiod. Both will give you different effect on the growth shape but it will stay low.
The bulbs I'm using[ADA's] are almost 3 years old, so I can vouch for it's longevity compared to T5's.
All my clients/fellow hobbyists/LFS in KL talk @#$! about T5's. Burnt out on average in 6 months but of course your mileage may vary as those I presume are those lower quality MIC brands.

Thanks for your replies. I am very new to this hobby as I started only last December. I have learnt something from you guys today. Thanks!
I am growing hemianthus micranthemoides in the same tank. They are also fast grower but they are doing well.
On the other hand, I also notice my golden nana has a few leaves also suffer the same fate as my glosso and they are slow grower.
Stan and Adrian, Thanks. I like your glosso very much. Mine are growing tall and did not spread well.
