where to buy Laterite?

Hi Bros,

Anyone knows which LFS sells Laterite? I actually want to mix it with lapis sand as a bottom layer of my planted tank. Is this a clay type one, or a substrate by itself with laterite on it? Thanks.

Laterite is very commonly found in plant nursery. Try thomson road. LFS like nature do sell them but they go with different names depending on certain brand. I think Seachem used Flourite

I'm reviving this old thread. I'm looking for a cheap alternative for aqua soil.

Thinking of laterite and lapis sand. As such, I'm wondering where can I get cheap laterite and lapis sand that is safe for aquarium??
