Filters for Discus Tank

I've been advised to use sponge filters for my discus tank. Besides being safe for fries, cheap and easy to maintain, it seemed to be the most popular amongst discus enthusiasts.

I am using an Eheim external filter instead. Any problem with this to ensure good water quality?

Pls advice on the effectiveness of this cannister filter for Discus Tank. Thanks![]

no problem. Just check that the current is not too strong for discus.(watch them see if they had to fight again the water flow in or out).
And remember to do regular water chaange of max 50% if daily.
