the way i see my flipper does the bubble sliding, eventually most co2 was accumulated at the top of the flipper, how do i know they dont go floating up and eventually burst into the air than mixed and dissolve into the water?
How to tell the co2 is sufficient? by the bubble counts? ppm?

for flippers you should visibly see the bubbles shrink.

as for what accumulates on the top of a flipper,
if its diy co2, its not pure co2.

you can measure co2 via KH/PH relationship (go search) if you're not using peat
