Help needed regarding Ramshorn Snail

Hi,

can anyone advise if I can pick out the ramshorn snails from my main tank into another tank or container that has no air filtration?

Will they be able to survive in just tank water?

I'm asking this is because the population boom is alarming *headache* and I don't have another air pump. My current pump definately won't have enough power to supply air to 2 tanks...

I find it's very unsightly for their eggs to be sticking on the walls of the tank...

Ramhorn is a very hardy snail.
It should not be a problem but they do prefer to have algae to graze on.
If you really want to keep them, just add some plants or moss to keep them happy.
No air filtration is needed.

They are not as bad as the trumpet snail and is easier to remove.
Most people would have opt for nerite as they do not breed in fresh water.

Glad to know they're hardy enough to survive without air filtration Will throw in some moss too...

Got just 1 initially (by chance) and it multiplies from then on...must be fertilised before I got it had thought that just 1 should be fine but it turned out.....*haiz*...

You can feed them to Anetome Helena - Assassin Snail.
Some fishes eat snails too.

Don't think will convert them into 'food' will wait for them to grow and can sell/ give/ trade hopefully I won't become an accidentally ramshorn breeder

Hi, after moving them out of the main tank, their shells start appearing irregular white lines/ stripes from the centre spiral... Even the only one in the main tank is having this symptom..what's going on here?
