i've a problem.my riccia is producing alot of o2.it then floats to the top.what i did was to add some small stones on top of the riccia.its quite an eyesore, the stones doesnt go too well with the tank layout.can anybody here tell me what i can do to make sure the riccia stays at the bottom of the tank?

i m planning to get yamatos.but i wanna know whether my tank is suitable for the shrimps where to find yamato shrimps , does NA or Eco-culture at eminent plaza sells them? i'm living in serangoon.dont wanna travel so far to get them... and what kind of conditions do yamatos thrive in? my tank temperature is around 27~28c i on the aircon sometimes and it falls to 24~25.i dont have any ph tester , so i regularly change the water. will all these work out for the shrimps?

Beside rainbow there's a place call Petmart. They usually sell yamatos in bags of 20 for around $12. You could give them a call to check availability first b4 going down. Phone number can be found in our LFS list (link located at top right corner)
    Cheers!!

Use metallic wire mesh? When riccia grows, you'll not be able to see it.

    Hi Magum

With regard to Riccia, its a high maintnence plant that requires frequent re- tying or re-meshing. this is predominately so as it grows, the bottom part will start to rot and slowly but surely, it will dislodge itself and float.....Unless you got the sinking Riccia.....
