    Hi guys,

What is the procedure you guys usually follow when changing to a new (large) tank? Currently planning to upgrade from a 4x2x2 to a 5x2x2, so I was wondering - is there a good way to transfer the fish and water over? Thing is, I do not want to cycle the tank again, so hopefully there's a way to transfer everything over.

    Thanks in advance!

I am assuming it is bare tank to bare tank transfer. Life is easier then.

The filter is definitely a keeper. And have to ensure that it runs during the transition. Bacteria starts to die from 5mins to 30mins without circulation. All water also transfer. This should suffice.

Thanks for the tips bro! So I am guessing should be ok for me to drain out the tank almost completely and fill it up again?

Drain the water into pail. Then from pail to another tank. Fill it up with those aged water from previous tank and top up losses with new water from tap. remember anti chlorine
