    Hi all bros,

    After reading through alot of thread about CRS.
    How do i measure KH and GH of the water.
    Does it really very important for breeding CRS.

    Buy a GH and KH kit from a LFS. Avoid API for the GH kit, its a pain to see when exactly the color change

    kH is used to prevent pH swings and gH is to let the shrimps molt successfully in order to grow well. You have to make a balance for pH, gH, kH and super clean water in order to breed CRS. not forgetting about the temperature too.

    Hi Eviltrain,

    Thanks for the guide.
    Currently my water PH at around 6.5.
    Temperature wise i aready order Resun Chiller CL 280 which i able to collect it today.
    Just that i not sure about GH and KH and other stuffs to maintain the tank in order to breed them successfully.

    better for you to get those drip type water testers, cheaper in long run. more accurate some more then the test strips. just look around in the forum and read through other peoples thread. you can learn more along the way.

    Just a question, what will be the ideal KH, PH and GH for CRS?

    Hi,

    Currently i using Tetra test from germany.
    Not sure it is a good brand or not.

    Hi,

    I see the guide online for Tetra brand.
    It seem like mine test kit are not the same.
    As what it stated, 1st drop will become red.
    But my 1st drop become yellow.
