Crab Nursery

My baby vampire crabs feeding on bloodworms. Theer used to be more of them, but were reduced when a rat frequented the tank. Now there are propably around 7 of them left. The male adult was also eaten by rats, but it mated prior to its death, so hopefully the female will give me another crop of babies.

The vivarium that I designed to house the babies, besides the crabs, it also houses a population of cherry shrimp and planaria, I tried to introduce springtails to the tank, but unsucessfully.

Hey Yong, how did a rat get into your tank anyway? But those Vampire looks good! Any closeup pics of the adults and babies?

Its an office tank and the office is infested with rats! The rats go into the tank to graze on the moss and ferns and of course whatever they could get. My camera is a cheap one, and my skills with it is bad.

Hi Yong, wow your office needs some serious renovations to keep out those rats man... but I guess I can understand as there's a small forested area near your office right? And regarding cheap camera and lousy skills, erm I would say practice makes perfect as I'm always practicing and my camera is not those high end 4 digit price camera either, perhaps I shall drop by your office to help you take photos?

Sure Actually the camera is also the office camera, propably not cheap, I don't own a camera. My office is like a zoo, snakes and lizards invades especially when it starts raining. The rat problem is mostly because people snack in the office!
