    Hi all,

need some info. what are the easiest foreground plants like glosso, HC, HM, APP etc.

What is needed for these plants to flourish? what types of fertilizers, i.e. the name of the fertilizers used.

i don't wish for anymore moss. I have too many types.. no more US fissiden etc.

    Im currently using GEX soil.

    Re: easiest foreground plants

Easiest would be dwarf hairgrass or Glossostigma. Keep lighting at least 2W per gallon, CO2 injection and they should flourish.

    Re: easiest foreground plants

I have tried many foreground plants in my low-tech tank, and APP, Marsilea Hirsuta and Staurogyne sp strive even without any CO2 (I put in Seachem Excel regularly) and my water temperature can be over 30C when it is a hot day. If you don't mind the rather rough looking plants, then you can consider them, or else the delicate plants like HC, glosso will be your choice.

    Elatine trianda

It is quite difficult to get correctly labelled plants. You can't expect alot from uncle because it is tough even for us to zoom in on certain species. Example: Eriocaulon.

Damage means cost? This is very subjective. Varies from place to place. Varies from farm to shops to personal homegrown

Teo Aquatic Plant Farm is a good place to learn correctly labelled plants. They welcome public.

Dept of soil should be 4 inches at least. Because I am old school.. so I think 4 inches are minimum.
