Linking up two tanks with 1 chiller and filter

How do i get about it?? I want to chill and filter a 2x1x1 ft and 3x1.5x1.5ft tank.

And recommended chiller?? I have a eheim 2228 external filter. Wondered if its okay?

its a bit impossible to link 2 different tanks size up.even if link up is possible, you need at least resun cl 450 to chill both tanks.

one way is to do over flow system for both tanks. then the 2 over flow pipe will run into a sump tank. 2 pump/canister will be required to pump the water up back into the tanks.

Which would be more economical? Having just 1 chiller with a sump tank or two chillers?

if you are going with a sump tank, a right-sized chiller will do.
if you are going with 2 chillers, a sump tank is not necessary. each tank will have it's own chiller. you'll need an additional pump/canister filter.

I guess what he means is 1 chiller for each tank.

For 1 chiller set up, You will need a chiller with the capability to cool a 2 feet and a 4 feet. it also depends on the flora and fauna you are keeping inside your tanks. If not really low temperature demanding like around 28 degree c, just go for fan.

Intending to keep High grade CRS with glosso/hc and not to forget mosses!

Both tank same condition? You better get same soil as your 2 feet and cycle for your 4 feet with another canister before linking everything up together. Uncycled tank will cause alot of stress for your existing 2 feet residences.
