Bought 50 Malayan Shrimp today, 1 was already dead in the bag, and few others already have the color of half cooked prawns, so i expected them to die soon.

As of this evening total of 4 died already. Dunno if this is due to my tank water condition, or it's just normal transport-related losses. Can anyone help?

    pH 6.5
    kH 3 dkh
    Temp 28 degrees

if they are already in bad condition when u buy them , do expect losses if they die in your tank , might be due to insufficient time for them to acclimatise ?

    Hi

Shrimps are very sensitive to temperature changes.

Hence you must float the packet of shrimps in your tank first.
Wait for around 15min before releasing them in your tank. This will allow time for the water temperature to be in equilibrium.

If not, your shrimps will become food for your fishes.
